Fans of the "Real Housewives" TV series know that for the programs' protagonists, plastic surgery is run of the mill. Many of the women on these shows are confident about their decision to go under the knife. Recently, in an interview with Life and Style Magazine, Kyle Richards of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills discussed the operations she's had and why she chose to get them. A matter of confidence
In the interview, Richards said she has had two surgical cosmetic procedures – a nose job and liposuction. She's also received Botox injections, which can help reduce wrinkles on the face.
She said she chose to undergo liposuction in 2012 because of her frustrations with her body after multiple pregnancies. "After having four kids, no matter what exercise I did, the love handles wouldn't go away," she told the news source. "The surgery made me feel better."
Six years prior, she underwent rhinoplasty to slim down the size of her nose, which she said made her feel more confident. Richards added that she was pleased the top plastic surgeon she visited was able to carry out a subtle procedure – he told her even her own mother wouldn't notice the difference.
Mommy Makeover popularity
Many women choose to undergo plastic surgery after giving birth. Liposuction is often a part of such procedures, but some women choose to incorporate tummy tuck surgeries, breast augmentations or breast lifts.
Breast lift procedures can help women who find that their bosom droops lower than they'd like. The procedure lasts two to three hours, and patients are typically allowed to leave the hospital and carry out their recovery from plastic surgery at home, according to the Mayo Clinic.
If this procedure sounds interesting to you, consider booking a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. During this one-on-one session, the surgeon will evaluate whether you're a good candidate for the procedure and answer any questions you may have. It's not a bad idea to ask for before-and-after pictures of the plastic surgeon's previous clients, as this will give you a good idea of what results may be possible.
